GLASGOW, Ky. – Seven Barren County High School students are being recognized for earning the AP Capstone Diploma during the 2024-25 school year.

The AP Capstone program assists students with developing critical thinking, research, collaboration and presentation skills needed for success in college and careers, the district says.

“We are incredibly proud of our students who have achieved this level of academic excellence,” said Barren County High School principal Letitia Hughes. “The AP Capstone program challenges students to think deeply, ask meaningful questions, and communicate their ideas with confidence. Their hard work reflects the dedication of our teachers and the culture of high expectations we strive for every day at BCHS.”

To earn the diploma, Barren County Schools says students had to score three or higher in both AP Seminar and AP Research, as well as on four additional AP exams of their choice.

“The AP Capstone program reignites curiosity in the classroom,” shared Bianca Peart, global director of the AP Capstone Diploma program. “Students are not only building essential skills for college and career success but also discovering how their voices and ideas can make an impact.”
