Traffic stop leads to felony arrest


GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow traffic stop Sunday resulted in seizure of narcotics and a felony arrest.
Sunday, the Glasgow Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the Louie B Nunn for speeding.
Sunday, Sgt. Jessie Barton stopped a driver on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway, and he noticed drug paraphernalia in the driver side floorboard of the car, according to a release from Glasgow Police Department. Barton said he received consent to search of the vehicle and said he located marijuana, methamphetamine, scales and a fake Sprite can used to conceal narcotics and baggies, according to the release.
The driver, Cody A. Rivera, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with speeding 14 mph over limit, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, according to the release.
