Joseph A. Wade, Inc. celebrates 40 years in Barren County
BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – One Barren County business is celebrating a legacy.
On Friday, Joseph A. Wade, Inc. celebrated its 40th anniversary, a huge milestone for any locally-owned business.
The family-owned business is celebrating four decades of service, and through both the good and the bad times, they have always come out on the other side okay.
Joseph A. Wade has withstood the test of time, and where some family-owned businesses were either bought out or closed their doors, they have remained open and provided quality service to Barren County for years.
When asked about the anniversary, store manager Mary Perkins said, “Well, for a family owned business, it’s a really big deal. Most of us get bought out by the big box stores. So to have a family business last this long is really an accomplishment.”
The family says it prides itself on making everyone who walks through their doors feel like family. They say they think being a locally-owned business makes the community more tight-knit and closer.
“It keeps communities together. It keeps everybody close-knit. We care about our customers.” Perkins said. “They’re like our family. They come in the door and we know them by name. And I think people like to do business with places that know their name and know how their kids are doing and check on their wives. And I think that’s really important.”
Congratulations to Joseph A. Wade on celebrating 40 years of business.
