Lost River Cave hosts Homeschool Day for local students

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- On Wednesday, Lost River Cave held its inaugural Homeschool Day, giving local homeschool kids a chance to enjoy the park in a field trip-like setting.

Lost River Cave received over 200 bookings for activities provided, including cave tours, geology rocks activity, marine ROV dives, critters of the cave and homeschool hikes.

“We know a lot of homeschoolers are in small groups and we wanted to give them an opportunity to come and have the real fieldtrip experience at Lost River Cave that larger groups get on a regular basis,” said Katie Cielinski, the director of Philanthropy at Lost River Cave.

“But this is a good opportunity to let those small cohorts come together and enjoy the community,” Cielinski said.

Lost River Cave will host more events in October, including Camping at the Cave, The Scarecrow Trail and Haunted Tours.
