SKY Arts Film Festival returns on Oct. 17-18 with special guest
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The SKY Arts Film Festival’s return is fast approaching, and this year is set to feature a special guest: Tim Kirkman.
Kirkman will be sharing more about his most famous movie, “Loggerheads,” which tells the story of a mother, child and adoptive parents and their journey to the adoption day.
“He is a Oscar nominated and Sundance nominated award film festival maker. He will be doing a Q&A with the people, so it’s a great learning opportunity for aspiring filmmakers,” Aidan Chaney, a public relations specialist for the Festival, says.
Aidan has been working with the festival while he’s a student at Western Kentucky University, and his favorite part is seeing the love they have for the Bowling Green community.
“They really just want to give back to that community… like they want Bowling Green to be a hub for community based events. They want, they love people coming together, they love nostalgia, which I think is also like, I love nostalgic things. I love watching old horror movies, especially right now with it being like that, and I think that has just made it a lot more welcoming,” Chaney says.
The festival takes place on Oct. 17 and 18 at the Capitol in downtown Bowling Green.
