The Center for Courageous Kids hosting 4th annual Bourbon Raffle
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A hidden gem in Scottsville is giving the community a unique chance to help every child experience the joys of summer camp.
The Center for Courageous Kids is hosting its fourth annual Bourbon Raffle, and all proceeds will go directly toward supporting children who attend the camp. Anyone can enter the raffle, and 100% of the funds raised will benefit kids with disabilities and lifelong illnesses.
These donations make it possible for children to enjoy horseback riding, canoeing and many other traditional camp activities in a medically safe environment.
Tia Geter, special events coordinator at CCK, says the camp experience is an important part of growing up, helping children become independent and make new friends.
“We are able to offer an environment where kids who have disabilities and lifelong illnesses are able to come and also enjoy camp, but at the same time be medically safe,” she said.
Not only does this raffle support a great cause, it also gives bourbon lovers the chance to win a prize worth $15,000.
The raffle is open now, with entries accepted through November. You can find more information on CCK’s Facebook.
