HOTEL INC. to host ‘Farm to Table’ fundraiser Aug. 30

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) – Hotel Inc. will host its annual Farm to Table fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Tayvin Gardens in Smiths Grove, with proceeds benefiting its programs to fight poverty and improve food access in Bowling Green’s West End.

The event will feature a three-course meal designed by local chef Brittany Vincent, using ingredients sourced as much as possible from Kentucky farmers. Executive director Karen Foley said the fundraiser reflects the organization’s mission.

“We believe that we have all of the ingredients that we might want to have for great neighborhoods and a great community, we just need to do a better job at connecting the pieces,” Foley said.

Funds raised will support Hotel Inc.’s operations, including its Delafield Co-op Market, a micro-grocery offering local produce and goods. Foley said the market offers “a connection to our local farm and our local producers” while keeping resources in the community.

This year’s dinner carries a “Bridgerton”-inspired theme, encouraging guests to wear floral patterns and enjoy the garden setting. Foley said the evening blends celebration and purpose.

“This is an opportunity to enjoy a good time and to benefit the community both at the same time,” she said.

Guests can also sponsor a seat for a Hotel Inc. program participant. Tickets and sponsorships are available through the organization’s website.
