Veterans Alliance Center in need of food donations
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you’re looking for a way to give back, the Veterans Alliance Center in Bowling Green is asking for your help.
The organization is currently in need of donations, including non-perishable foods like spaghetti noodles, sauce and canned goods. Perishable items are also accepted but must be dropped off by appointment.
Volunteers say the goal is simple — to serve those who have served and create a space where the entire community can connect in support.
Tom Bridges, president of the Kentucky Veteran Brigade, emphasizes the importance of community involvement, saying it’s a way to honor those who “signed a blank check” for their country. Donations can be dropped off at the center Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to food drives, a fundraiser cookout will be held at the Veterans Alliance Center on Aug. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 600 U.S. 31-W Bypass suite 6. It’s a small act that can make a big difference for local veterans.
