Glasgow and Barren County law enforcement Cram the Cruiser
GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department is “Cramming the Cruiser” with school supplies to support students and teachers at Barren County Schools and Glasgow city schools.
Law enforcement from both agencies gathered to accept the donations on Friday.
From notebooks and colored pencils to folders and more, the donations will make a huge difference in local classrooms. Officers say these supplies don’t just benefit students—they take pressure off teachers as well.
Major Terry Flatt with the Glasgow Police Department said the effort helps educators avoid spending their own money.
This year, the initiative has been enhanced by having school resource officers on site to collect donations. GPD says the effort also builds stronger connections between law enforcement and the schools they serve.
The department extended thanks to the community for their generosity.
