Bowling Green Parks and Rec celebrates National Park and Rec Month in July

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – July is National Park and Rec Month around the country, and Bowling Green Parks and Rec is celebrating in some unique ways.

There’s plenty of fun planned for the rest of the month, including a new flavor of ice cream at Meltdown called “Treat Yo Self” with even more activities on the way.

The theme this year is “Build Together, Play Together” and staff say that’s exactly what they do in the city parks, emphasizing how grateful they are for the community’s continued support.

“We’ve got an incredible community here in Bowling Green and Warren County that truly does value good parks and good recreational opportunities… and as a professional in the field of Parks and Rec, it definitely makes our job more enjoyable to live and work in a community that does value what we do on a daily basis,” Cameron Levis, the City’s Recreation Division Manager for Parks and Rec said.

News 40 will have more in the coming weeks as we celebrate National Park and Rec Month.
