Community Education celebrates 27 years of Stand for Children Day in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, KY – Community Education officially kicked off the 27th annual Stand for Children Day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday morning at Bowling Green Ballpark.
The long-running event has become a local tradition, and this year marks its 15th year at the ballpark. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the needs of children in the area while connecting families with free resources and support services.
The main event will be held Thursday, featuring more than 50 local vendors offering valuable information for parents, as well as fun and educational activities for kids—including CPR demonstrations, cornhole, and more.
“Come out, be a kid, grab your information, and then hopefully at some point, that information you gathered will change your life,” said Joshua Smith, event coordinator for Stand for Children Day. “It just amazes me that the community still wants it… to still choose Stand for Children, to still choose us at Community Education to lead such an initiative. It’s humbling.”
Stand for Children Day is open to the public and will run Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bowling Green Ballpark.
