Grayson Co. realtor allegedly held at knifepoint, suspect arrested

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – One man is charged with robbery and kidnapping after an incident involving a Grayson County realtor.
According to authorities, on Wednesday, June 18 just before 3 p.m., a man entered the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office with blood and bruises, stating he had been attacked.
Deputies say an investigation revealed the victim was showing a house on the lake in the Falls of Rough area to the suspect, identified as 71-year-old Keith S. Rowe of Falls of Rough.
Upon entering the showing, authorities say Rowe locked the door and began assaulting the victim.
Authorities say Rowe then demanded for the victim to write up a contract and sign the home over to him, threatening to kill him if he refused. Deputies say Rowe also ordered the victim to give him his cell phone.
The victim lived across the street from the home he was showing and told Rowe he could not write up the contract without his computer, authorities say.
Authorities say Rowe demanded for the victim to cross the street to write the contact and threatened to tie a rope around the victim’s neck and drag him if he tried to get into his vehicle.
According to deputies, the victim entered his own home, sat at the computer and started writing the contract as Rowe stood over him with a pocket knife unfolded. Rowe stated he was going to kill the victim once he wrote the contact, authorities say.
Officials say the victim handed the contract to Rowe before escaping through the front door.
Authorities say the victim stated “he knew that if he stayed any longer that he was going to be killed.”
The release states the victim stated het then drove to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, leaving the suspect at his home.
Later that night, authorities say Rowe was found by family and agreed to meet the sheriff at the sheriff’s office.
While being interviewed, authorities say Rowe admitted to most of the events the victim had described. Rowe was arrested without further incident.
Rowe is charged with first-degree robbery, kidnapping of an adult, fourth-degree assault (minor injury) and third-degree terroristic threatening.
Rowe was lodged at the Grayson County Detention Center on a $300,000 cash bond.
