American Legion Post 23 honors Memorial Day
BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Members of the community gathered at the American Legion to pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.
The ceremony was a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and the heroes who paid the ultimate price.
Chaplain (CPT) Curtis Adams of the Citizen Soldier Battalion spoke with emotion and reverence.
“On this day, it is fitting that we gather together to mourn their loss, honor their service, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and paid the highest price for the freedoms that we all enjoy and many too often take for granted,” he said.
His words echoed through the crowd, stirring both pride and reflection.
Adams emphasized that this day isn’t just about remembering loss, but also about showing gratitude.
The goal, he said, is to honor every fallen hero and ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten.
In moments like this, the community stands united in remembrance and thanks.
