South Warren Boys’ Volleyball continues historic season, advances to state semifinals

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Despite a weather delay in the middle of the match, the South Warren Spartans powered through, taking down the West Jessamine Colts to advance to the KHSAA Boys’ Volleyball State Tournament semifinals in the program’s first season.

The Spartans took the first two sets in close fashion (26-24, 25-23), then dropped set three following the delay (25-16), but after erasing a fourth set deficit, the team clinched the night (25-23) to set up a final four meeting with the Henry Clay Blue Devils.

The contest will take place at George Rogers Clark on May 20 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

If the Spartans advance into the championship match, it will be played that same day at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET.
