Recovering addicts graduate from drug court
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A heartfelt celebration took place tonight as friends, family and community members came together to honor the latest graduates of the Allen and Simpson County Drug Court program.
In partnership with Victory Hill Church’s Dream Center , the program provides vital support for individuals facing addiction and homelessness, offering a path to recovery and stability.
The emotional ceremony featured inspiring testimonies from former graduates, and words of encouragement for those completing the program. Each participant was recognized for their achievements and received a certificate of completion.
Among those honored were Richey Walker and Jordan Rich, both of whom shared deeply personal reflections on their journeys.
“It means the world to me,” Rich said. “The last promise I made to my mother before she passed was that I’d stay sober, and I’ve kept that promise.”
Walker added, “There’s light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been a long road, but I finally made it.”
Both credited their faith as a guiding force throughout their recovery.
Other graduates expressed heartfelt gratitude to the program and the individuals who supported them along the way.
