Med Center Health hosts Annual Expectant Parents Fair

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health welcomed expecting families this afternoon for its 20th Annual Expectant Parents event, offering education, resources and support for the journey into parenthood.

Whether it’s someone’s first child or they are looking for a refresher, the event provided attendees with valuable information about the hospital’s maternity services. Vendors from across the community were on hand to share tips on topics such as car seat safety, healthy nutrition and safe sleep practices.

Guests also had the chance to win door prizes, including a year’s supply of diapers, and attend live demonstrations on labor preparation.

Kim Dethridge, longtime event director, emphasized the importance of involving the entire support system. “We encourage the whole family to participate during this exciting time,” she said.

Dethridge also reminded new parents that they can schedule tours of the maternity department ahead of their delivery date to help them feel more prepared.
