Butler County Bear signs with KWC men’s basketball

BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – Butler County boys’ basketball standout Briar Griffin made it official on Monday where he will be taking his talents on the court in college after signing with the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers.

Griffin spent three seasons as a Bear and helped the program make history in 2024 when Butler County won its first ever 3rd region championship.

The guard had his best showing in his senior year with the Bears, averaging over 12 points per game.

At his signing, the future Panther spoke on the type of player that Kentucky Wesleyan’s roster is gaining next season.

“ They’re getting a defensive guy, a big defensive guy, hard worker and true point guard that loves passing before they shoot, but if the shots there, I’m going to shoot, of course,” Griffin said. “But I love seeing my guys win, so they’re getting a good teammate for sure.”
