Capitol Nights: Stories and Songs features 5 songwriters
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At the Capitol Theater, fans got to hear from some of the top country songwriters out there, some of which have local ties to right here in Bowling Green.
Capitol Nights: Stories and Songs featured five guys that have worked with some of the top names in country, from Lainey Wilson to Jelly Roll and many more.
Dallas Wilson, Ben Williams, Jordan Minton, Logan Turner and his younger brother Mills all shared stories behind some of their biggest hits and ties to BG.
One story that Ben shared involves a current top female star and how they met for a writing session during the pandemic.
“I was writing on Zoom and on my calendar… I was in Colorado with my now fiance’s family, and I was going to hang out with her dad for like the first time… and on my calendar was a girl named Megan Moroney… and I did it, and we wrote that day and so far we’ve written most of her songs together, which has been just insane and such a blessing,” Williams says.
Whether they moved here to write in Nashville or attended WKU for a period, all five can agree on one thing: Bowling Green is a great town that has produced great talent in the music industry.
