Morgantown Bank & Trust awards 4 scholarships to local students

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – Four students from Warren and Butler Counties were recognized by Morgantown Bank & Trust as the recipients of their 2025 scholarships.

Two students from Butler County High School, and two from the Bowling Green area were each given $2,500 towards their education.

Ashley Overbay from South Warren and Kaidence Dunagan from Bowling Green High School both plan to attend the University of Louisville, while Reed Noble & Case Hooten (who was unable to attend the ceremony) from Butler County High School plan to attend the University of Kentucky.

President and CEO of Morgantown Bank & Trust Jason Jones says he’s proud of all four recipients.

“The things that they’re doing really makes me go back and wonder what I did when I was in school because they’re accomplishing things way, way above their ages and their time on this Earth. So we’re just very pleased to be a small part of this. We want to support our community in any way possible, and to us there’s no better way to start than our youth,” he says.

We want to send a huge congratulations to all four students on this accomplishment, and wish them well in their futures in Louisville and Lexington.
