VisitBGKY hosts groundbreaking for new building on Ewing Way

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has a brand new home in the works, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon.

The new location is off Ewing Way, across from Lovers Lane off exit 26 on I-65.

The previous location off Three Springs Road has been in use for 35 years, but staff say it’s time for a change.

Not only will the building be a bit bigger than the current one, it will also give tourists closer access to a lot of Bowling Green’s top attractions.

“Relocating to this exit would really highlight Bowling Green and how accessible it is to get around, because we really wanted to pull people off of Scottsville Road and send them to our attractions, because as you all know, most of our attractions aren’t located on that main strip,” Sherry Murphy, the executive director of the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, says.

There is currently no timeline on when exactly the building will be finished, but News 40 will keep you up to date as we learn more.
