UnSeen BG launches inaugural spring tour season
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Historic RailPark and Train Museum is unveiling the very first official Spring Tour Season of UnSeen BG.
Thanks to support from Dr. John and Sheryl Downing, the railpark says a new spring season will allow it to build upon its storytelling about the city’s past.
The historic walking tour series this season will feature the debut of a brand new tour celebrating Bowling Green’s Shake Rag District, along with the return of a fan favorite about the powerful and unexpected women of local history.
Ticket release dates include the following:
- RailPark Member Early Access – April 16 at 10 a.m.
(Members will receive an exclusive email with a ticket link.) - General Public Release – April 22 at 10 a.m.

NEW: Shake Rag Tour (21+ Only)
Organizers describe this tour as taking you through “the heart of Shake Rag,” a historic neighborhood in Bowling Green, to explore the “legacy of a community that once lit up the Dixie Highway with music, hospitality and heart.” Participants can see a story brought to life of top-tier entertainers and the tight-knit, self-sustaining spirit of residents for this story of resilience and cultural impact.
Additional tour information:
- Adults 21+ only, includes a beverage at the Shake Rag Bar.
- Begins at: Service One Credit Union Kiosk, 103 State Street.
- Walking Distance: Approximately 1.5 miles, intervals with stops.
Returning Favorite: The REAL Housewives of Bowling Green (Suggested 12+)
In addition, this season will include hidden stories of Bowling Green’s local women, including “visionaries, troublemakers and pioneers” with stories of “perseverance and betrayal” with a new light on the women who shaped the city.

Organizers say each tour is carefully researched to tell the authentic history of generations.
