State police investigating Pike County shooting death

BELFRY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a shooting death in Pike County.

On Saturday, KSP says it received a call regarding a shooting in Belfry.

KSP says investigators arrived at a parking lot of a business on State Highway 319 and discovered a subject that had been shot.

The preliminary investigation indicates Greely Hurley, 30, of Stopover, was fatally shot during an altercation with Paul Coleman, 57, of Meta.

Hurley was pronounced dead at the Tug Valley ARH Medical Center.

KSP says the investigation will be presented to the Pike County Grand Jury.
