Lady Spartan signs with Lindsey Wilson College for women’s basketball and flag football

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Monday, one Lady Spartan signed her national letter of intent to take to her talents to the next level for not just one, but two sports.

South Warren’s Jenna Lindsey will be heading to Lindsey Wilson College this fall to play basketball and flag football.

The senior spent four seasons with the varsity Lady Spartan basketball team, and this past year she contributed an average of 7.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Not only is Lindsey a four-year player in basketball, but she is also in the midst of her fourth season on the softball team, where she’s been a part of two trips to the state tournament.

Now adding flag football into the mix, Lindsey shared how that came about and how grateful she is for the opportunity to be the first from South Warren to commit to the sport.

“It feels great,” Lindsey said. “Things are meant to be. I happened to sit next to the flag football coach for Lindsay Wilson at a girls’ basketball game that I went to, and it just kind of went from there.  I’m really grateful, I’m grateful to God and my family and all my coaches and everyone that’s just helped me be who I am today and just be able to go to the college level.”
