WKU Player of the Week: Lady Hilltopper guard Josie Gilvin
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Today’s WKU Player of the Week features Lady Hilltopper guard Josie Gilvin for her third recognition this season.
The junior played a huge role on both sides of the ball in WKU’s final two games of the regular season, posting 14 points and seven rebounds at FIU, as well as a career-high 31 points, six boards and seven steals at Liberty.
Those 31 points against the Flames were the most scored in a single game by any Lady Topper all season.
The Louisville native has had a fantastic third year on the Hill, leading the team in averaging 5.9 rebounds per game and charting second in points per game with 13.
Gilvin’s performance led to her being named to the All-CUSA Second Team and CUSA All-Defensive Team, while helping WKU finish the regular season with an overall 22-8 record, marking its best in five years.
