Leitchfield woman falls asleep, crashes into tractor-trailer

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A driver reportedly fell asleep before hitting a tractor-trailer on the Western Kentucky Parkway near Leitchfield.
According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, the collision took place at 7 p.m. Monday between the 107 and 108 mile markers on the westbound parkway.

Upon arrival, first responders learned a Leitchfield woman fell asleep while driving a Ford Focus, colliding with the back of a Bacon By Gosh-owned tractor-trailer, according to Leitchfield police.
The woman then lost control of the vehicle and overturned into a ditch.
The woman refused treatment, according to K105. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.
