Chesterton Academy to Bring First Private Catholic High School to Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Currently, there are no private Catholic high schools in Bowling Green, but St. Joseph’s is changing that narrative. The school has recently added a new institution to its campus, the Chesterton Academy of Bowling Green. This new addition will offer a Catholic education option for students, allowing them to focus on their faith while preparing for college. The academy will start by enrolling freshmen and sophomores in its first year.

Gary Houchens, a member of St. Joseph’s Parochial School Council, shared his excitement about the new opportunity. He highlighted that the school aims to provide a faith-filled, academically rigorous environment for current and future generations of students. The Chesterton Academy is set to open its doors in August 2026, marking a significant milestone for Catholic education in the area. As more details become available, we will continue to keep the community informed.
