City-County Planning Commission in the middle of moving

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The City-County Planning Commission of Warren County is in the process of moving.

The planning commission is currently at 1141 State Street. The new location will be 922 State Street. The move will be completed on December 30th.

The reason for the move is due to the cost estimate to renovate the current building being over $300,000.  It will cost less for the commission to move into a new location instead.

Planning Commission Executive Director Ben Peterson said he’s looking forward to moving into a new spot.

“We’re excited to have this new office space and we’re excited about how we’ll be better able to serve the public. We expect some technology upgrades and stuff to allow us to provide even more transparent government information, all that good stuff,” Peterson said.

The commission’s public meeting spot at Bowling Green City Hall will remain the same after the move.
