Flooded roads report released for local counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A weather system has dumped more than an inch of rain overnight in some counties of the local area, with icy conditions emerging on Sunday.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Department, rain has moved out of the District 3 area, but colder temperatures are creating icy conditions and snow. Crews from Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, and Warren counties are out treating roads. Temperatures are expected to drop later Sunday and overnight. More icy road conditions could form. Drivers should remain cautious while out on the roads today.

Drivers should not try to cross through high water that continues in multiple areas.

The following is the current list of known flooded roads at the time of release. There may be roads flooded that are not on the list.

Allen County

  • KY 585 closed at mile point 6.
  • KY 1533 closed at mile point 1.
  • KY 1533 closed at mile point 3.
  • KY 1332 closed at mile point 3.
  • In addition, Scottsville-Allen County Emergency Management has been notified of flooding at the following:
    • The 5000 block of Meador Port Oliver Road.
    • Lambert Road at Franklin Road.
    • Andrew Jackson Highway at Stafford Hollow Road at the state line.
    • Old Gallatin Road at Trammel Creek.
    • Macedonia Road bridge at Petroleum Road.
    • Old Franklin Road at the low water ford and at the 3800 block.
    • 2100 block of Dover Church Road.
    • Claudis Harris Road.
    • Mill Street between South Fifth Street and South Sixth Street.
