Crews respond to fully engulfed trailer fire, baby thrown to safety
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Richardsville Fire Department received a call of a structure fire around 7:30 on Monday. Crews arrived to find a double-wide fully engulfed on West East Cole Road. All occupants were able to escape. Richardsville Fire Chief Brian Lee says according to an occupant, a baby was thrown from the burning home to safety.
One person was transported to a local hospital to be checked out.
Chief Lee says the fire appeared to have originated in the rear of the structure. One occupant advised the power had gone off and on a couple of times before the fire broke out.
The exact cause of the fire is still undetermined.
Richardsville Fire was assisted by Barren River and Gott Fire Departments, Med Center EMS, Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Warren County Fire Coordinator.
