Local community members honored at Sybil Leamon Volunteer Awards

GLASGOW, Ky.- The Sybil Leamon Volunteer Awards recognize individuals who make a significant impact behind the scenes, showcasing the hard work and dedication of those who often go unnoticed.

Dozens gathered in Glasgow on Thursday to celebrate those who exemplify the spirit of volunteerism and community service. These awards honor those who dedicate countless hours to making a difference in their communities.

Nicole Randall, a member of the Chamber of the Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of acknowledging these volunteers.

“You put so much work in it, and being recognized is very important,” she said. “We should never close the door in recognizing people because people put in. We’re so blessed to have so many who do so much.”

The event highlighted the Ambassador of the Year, Board Member of the Year and the Sybil Leamon Volunteer of the Year, further keeping Sybil Leamon’s legacy alive. These awards are a tribute to those who selflessly serve, embodying the values of hard work and compassion.
