BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU men’s basketball went on the road to take on Liberty in Lynchburg, Virginia, on Thursday afternoon.

At halftime, WKU trailed 35-21 in its lowest scoring half of the season, but a burst of energy late in the second half put everyone watching this game at the edge of their seat.
Down by 12 points with under six minutes to go, WKU went on a 19-5 run powered by Don McHenry and Julius Thedford, with the Tops taking their first lead of the game with just 1:18 left on the clock.
