Indian Hills filled with holiday cheer just one week after fire guts clubhouse

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Despite a recent fire that destroyed the clubhouse at Indian Hills Country Club, the club and the members are focused on spreading holiday cheer among themselves and around the community.

The annual Christmas party took place inside the golf cart garage. And although the surroundings may not have been what members were accustomed to seeing, there were trees, lights and table after table of food.

There were also gifts. Members played “reverse Santa,” bringing toys to give to Santa so he could distribute them to children in the community.
Members brought dishes as part of a potluck dinner and the garage was full of music, talking and laughing.

Marketing manager Jared Sizemore said while Indian Hills is rebuilding, members stepped in to help out and make sure events still took place. He also said things are returning to normal in other ways. The golf course remains open and the swimming pool area was not damaged by the fire.
