Local woman to walk in Rose Bowl Parade for Canine Companions

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The time honored tradition of the Rose Bowl Parade will soon take place on January 1, 2025, and with that will be all kinds of floats from all kinds of organizations.

This year, Lions International will showcase Canine Companions on their float, a non-profit that trains and provides service dogs for free.

Teresa Harper, a Bowling Green local who is part of both the Lion’s Club and a puppy raiser for the nonprofit told News 40 she’s excited to make this historic walk for Canine’s Companions and spread awareness for the organization that is the biggest trainer and provider of service dogs in America since 1975.
