Vehicle and horse buggy involved in crash in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ky.- The Franklin Police Department is investigating a crash that occurred Thursday between a vehicle and a horse buggy.

According to the police department, the collision occurred in the 3200 block of U.S. 31W just before 6:30 a.m.

Investigators said the horse buggy was rear-ended by the driver of a Chevrolet Impala. Police said the collision occurred when it was still dark outside and the buggy did not have reflective tape on the rear.

No one involved in the crash sustained any major injuries, however, the horse suffered a leg injury and was taken to a veterinarian for treatment.
