Fredrick Douglas offensive lineman commits to WKU football

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While many local athletes who celebrated National Signing Day prepare to head out of state to continue their athletic careers, one Kentuckian decided that his collegiate career begins on the Hill.

Up the road in Lexington, Fredrick Douglas offensive lineman Jackson Dialls made his decision official today to join the Hilltopper football team next season.

Rated a three-star prospect by 247 Sports, Dials announced his commitment to WKU back in July, before spending his final year of high school helping to lead the Broncos to a 9-5 record with a Class 6A state semifinal appearance.

At his signing, Dialls shared some of the many reasons he was drawn to play football on the Hill.

“Bowling Green makes the place for me just because I’m really not much of a big city type of guy,” Dialls said. “It’s all condensed and it really feels like family up there. All of the coaches – coach Bernardi, coach Helton – they preach God and that’s all about me. I love my faith and that was the first thing that stood out to me and that’s part of my big decision why I came there.”
