Kroger kicks off Food Angel Tree Program
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Kroger has launched the 2024 Food Angel Tree program in partnership with The Salvation Army.
Through Dec. 29, Kroger says customers can provide a Christmas meal to an Angel Tree family by purchasing a $25 Food Angel at checkout.
“The Food Angel Tree program truly embodies the spirit of Christmas,” said Major Bill Mockabee, of the Nashville Area Command of The Salvation Army. “Thanks to the generosity of Kroger and its customers, we can ensure that Angel Tree families not only have gifts to open but also a festive meal to share with their loved ones. We are incredibly grateful for this ongoing partnership.”
According to a release by Kroger, donations made through the Food Angel Tree program assist the Salvation Army to provide “thousands of meals to families facing food insecurity,” along with year-round programs and services.
Food Angels can be found at all Kroger locations in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
