Arts of Southern Kentucky’s Jeff Reed wins 2024 Governor’s Community Arts Award
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The founder of Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green and leader of Arts of Southern Kentucky is being recognized with a 2024 Governor’s Community Arts Award.
Arts of Southern Kentucky says its president and CEO, Jeff Reed, was honored Thursday as one of nine other distinguished recipients of the prestigious arts awards.
Arts of Southern Kentucky says Reed’s dedication “has shaped Bowling Green’s arts scene for over 25 years.”
During this time, they say their center is home to Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green, Ramsey Theatre Company and BG OnStage, three local companies impacting the community.
All recipients include the following, according to the Kentucky Arts Council:
- Milner Award – Mark Lenn Johnson, Fayette County
- Artist Award – Gregory Turay, Fayette County
- Community Arts Award, Individual – Jeffery Reed, Warren County
- Community Arts Award, Organization – Yes Arts, Franklin County
- Education Award – Louisville Academy of Music, Jefferson County
- Folk Heritage Award – Cheryl Pan, Fayette County
- Government Award – Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center, Hardin County
- Media Award – Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer, Daviess County
- National Award – Tyler Childers, Lawrence County
