Edmonson County sheriff shares details on missing teen case
EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office has been searching for a 16-year-old girl, who was reported missing from Rocky Hill on Oct. 14.
News 40 spoke to Sheriff James Vincent, who said he has been working with the Glasgow Police Department and the Louisville Metro Police Department to find Alexandria Piper, as she has crossed multiple jurisdictions.
Vincent said kids are in danger more than ever these days, and running away could prove disastrous. Vincent said, “I want to reiterate, so many things can go wrong…”
The sheriff said he’s confident someone is abetting in her disappearance, as she was last physically seen in Glasgow. The sheriff addressed the camera directly and gave a stern warning to whomever may be watching and said if investigation hindrance continues, charges will be filed when persons responsible are found.
