Glasgow gears up for a new farmers market location
GLASGOW, Ky.- The City of Glasgow is set to welcome a new year-round farmers market facility, a much-anticipated addition to the community.
Currently, residents must navigate various locations as the seasons change, but this new project aims to provide a secure and consistent space for shopping and selling. Glasgow city administrator April Russell expressed the importance of this development, stating, “The square is wonderful, but the elevation changes affect sales. We wanted to ensure they had a permanent home where everyone can find them and feel safe.”
The new facility is designed to enhance accessibility for both vendors and customers, creating a hub for local goods. Construction bids for the project are currently being sought by the city, reflecting a commitment to advancing this initiative.
A meeting is scheduled for Oct. 29 to discuss future plans. Local residents can expect continued updates from News 40 as this exciting project unfolds.
