Haywood Fire Department to host annual pancake breakfast this weekend

BARREN COUNTY, Ky.- Several fire departments are stepping up to foster community connections, and the Haywood Fire Department is leading the way with its annual Pancake Breakfast.

This beloved tradition not only serves delicious pancakes, biscuits and gravy but also allows residents to interact with their local firefighters.

Chief Mike Hatcher emphasized the importance of the event, noting, “We’ve been doing a pancake breakfast for almost as long as the fire department’s been in existence.”

He added that while the fundraiser may not bring in significant profits, its true value lies in bringing neighbors together.

Mark your calendars for a morning of good food and camaraderie with your local heroes this Saturday from 6 to 10 a.m. Community members are invited to enjoy a hearty breakfast while supporting their local fire department.

Adult meals will cost $8, while children 6 years old and under can eat free.

The Haywood Fire Department is located at 67 Matthews Mill Road.
