WKU volleyball sweeps Kennesaw State over the weekend
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The WKU volleyball team extended its straight-set win streak to 21 over the weekend after sweeping the Kennesaw State Lady Owls during both Friday and Saturday’s matches.
Friday’s game saw senior Kaylee Cox pick up her eighth double-double of the season, with 12 kills and 13 digs on the night, while Saturday’s match was highlighted by five blocks from sophomore Izzy Van De Wiele.
A busy week of games is just getting started for the Lady Tops who are already gearing up for their next matchup tomorrow night at home with MTSU, and head coach Travis Hudson knows it’s going to be no easy road ahead.
“Another good weekend for our team, still moving in the right direction,” Hudson said. “Again, some of the changes we’ve made, lineup wise and stuff, have been really positive, I think. This is obviously a really challenging week with a quick turnaround against Middle Tennessee. And then off to Florida, weather willing, so it should be an interesting week, but a week that our team’s looking forward to.”
