Bowling Green Job Fair gives opportunities to residents limiting barriers

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Finding a job became significantly easier for hundreds of Bowling Green residents Thursday at a well-attended job fair. The South Central Workforce Development partnered with numerous organizations, businesses, and non-profits to provide vital resources for job seekers in South Central Kentucky. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with potential employers and learn about various job openings available in the area.

We spoke with Shannon Manrique, an employer from Integrator Shock and Window Cleaners, who emphasized the importance of face-to-face interactions in the hiring process. “As an employer, I’m finding that the online resources aren’t as valuable because I’m not getting to meet people and discuss their goals,” she noted. This personal engagement helps align candidates with the needs of the business. The job fair was a resounding success, and attendees left with renewed hope and valuable connections. South Central Workforce Development plans to host additional job fairs in the future, continuing its commitment to support the local workforce.
