WKU Athletics Player of the Week: Kenadee Coyle

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Today marks the start of a new weekly recognition in partnership with WKU Athletics. Our very first WKU Athletics Player of the Week honor goes to Hilltopper volleyball senior right side hitter Kenadee Coyle!

Coyle helped lead the Lady Tops to not one, but two wins this past weekend as the team began conference play at Jacksonville State, taking both games in straight sets.

Across the two matches with the Gamecocks, she tallied 20 kills, nine blocks and a hitting percentage around the .500 mark, and now she sits inside of the top ten of Conference USA for her season total in hitting percentage and blocks.

The 2024 season marks year number four as a Hilltopper for Coyle, and she’s steadily picked up a larger role with the team each year, playing in just 12 games as a freshman, but then seeing the court in every game as a sophomore and junior, leading to CUSA All-Conference Second Team honors in 2023.

In her final campaign, she will look to lead WKU to its second straight conference championship, and the next step in that process is the team’s conference home opening doubleheader with Kennesaw State.

You can catch Coyle and the rest of the Lady Topper volleyball team when they return to play on Friday in a meeting with the Owls at 6 p.m. inside of Diddle Arena.
