Dog walkers wanted at BRAWA

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – If you’re looking for a way to give back and help a furry friend adapt to any environment, look no further.

The Barren River Animal Welfare Association is seeking dedicated dog walkers. Volunteering not only helps the dogs get more accustomed to other dogs and people but it also increases their chances of being adopted.

Executive director Connie Greer emphasizes the importance of fresh perspectives: “When someone new comes in to play, sometimes they see things we didn’t see.”

This interaction can reveal new insights about each dog’s personality. Getting the dogs out for walks not only helps them burn off energy but also makes them more appealing to potential adopters.

So, if you have some spare time and a love for animals, consider becoming a dog walker.
