Glasgow library holding Drop your Drawers underwear drive
GLASGOW Ky.- A Glasgow library is giving the community a chance to donate underwear to local children.
An area is now set up in the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Public Library where anyone can stop by and drop off underwear to be given to the local school family resource centers.
Children’s sizes 4 through 16 are needed the most, but adult sizes are also being accepted. Overdue library fines will be forgiven for any donations during the drive lasting until December 14.
Those at the library say it’s a good feeling to provide for local students in a small way.
“It’s great to get involved in our community. We’re about educating kids, so this gives us a chance to work with the schools and just hit another aspect of that,” said Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Public Library adult services manager Amy Tollison.
If you’d like to donate, the library is located at 1530 South Green street in Glasgow.
