New Americans in Kentucky panelists discuss diverse history and future
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Several panelists are bringing awareness to the history of new Americans in Kentucky.
On Tuesday evening, panels reflected on Bowling Green history of welcoming residents from across the world, while sharing more about the diverse international communities in the region.
Executive director of the International Center of Kentucky Albert Mbanfu, BG International Communities liaison Leyda Becker, Addi Hernandez with the SKY Admission Team and City of Bowling Green Financial Specialist Dmytro Kondratovych gathered at the Kentucky Museum to share commentary.
Topics covered included how new Americans have shaped southern Kentucky’s institutions.
They also spoke about efforts to help integration of the newest Kentuckians.
