New cardiac MRI scanner introduced at TriStar Greenview

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – TriStar Greenview is adding a new tool to their hospital that will be the first of its kind in south-central Kentucky.

They’re adding a new cardiac MRI scanner, that brings higher quality images and faster diagnosis to the region.

Previously, patients had to travel to Nashville or Louisville to get scanned, but now this opens up a much closer option.

A cardiac MRI takes a look at the heart and arteries and can detect different heart conditions.

Cardiologists say this opens new dimensions for staff as they are able to find a lot more things like tissue damage and inflammation. They are excited to make this available to patients in Bowling Green and the surrounding area.
