Hilltoppers plan for tough Toledo defensive line

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Saturday night, the Hilltoppers welcome in a solid Toledo football squad that is coming off a big win at Mississippi State last weekend.

The defensive line for the Rockets has been able to get to the opposing quarterback often, as they’ve tallied 11 total sacks through just three games.

And for WKU, the offensive line has held strong, allowing just three sacks, but they know what challenges are ahead when they hit the field on Saturday, and are prepared to do their job.

“We were really tested week one when we went against the best D-line in all of college football, Alabama, only let up one sack, but we’re just making sure that we take what we did at the beginning of the year, and we just sustain,” offensive lineman Evan Wibberley said. “That’s a big thing about our gameplan for this week is just sustain. We sustain, make sure that we cover up our guys, make sure that we eliminate nine, a couple other guys, and, you know, I’m confident that us up front, we’re going to get it done.”
