WKU volleyball gets back to work after 0-4 stretch last week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lady Tops volleyball team is still looking to get that first home win this week after a tough schedule at home last week that resulted in WKU putting up a fight in every match, but not having a single win to show for it.

The Lady Tops took on some of the top teams in the country, including ranked Tennessee and Dayton, and while they competed close with each team, they fell short in getting the final victory in the end.

Now having some time to get back to practice this week, here’s what head coach Travis Hudson had to say about his squad’s recent performance.

“I was very worried about what kind of, what level of effort our team would put out there,” Hudson said. “And I thought our team was ready to play it each and every time we took the floor and I’m really, really proud of them for that. It’s just one of those things where you just wish you could have helped give them something to show for what we did because we did some great things. So, I just have to keep them understanding that.”
