Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland hosts distribution at River Lake Church
GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow community came together this September to support the Feeding America Kentucky Heartland food distribution event.
River Lake Church and T.J Regional Health workers Christy Biggerstaff, Kim May, Andrea Shive, Chanea Smith, Sara Beth Stotts and other dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to provide both financial relief and high-quality food to local residents.
Pat Harlow, a coordinator at River Lake Church, expressed the profound impact of the event, stating, “Just getting calls from people in the community and thanking us for doing this, that’s what it’s all about. There are hardly words to describe that feeling.”
The church organizes these food distributions every month, showcasing their ongoing commitment to helping those in need.

This initiative highlights the community’s spirit of generosity and the critical role of local organizations in addressing food insecurity.
